When writing about a problem, it helps to include your app version and iPhone model (the in-app “Contact Support” button fills this in automatically).
Chronotype reads sleep data from Apple Health, recorded by your Apple Watch. If a night is missing:
If sleep appears in Apple Health but not in Chronotype, contact us.
Chronotype processes your night as soon as Apple Health makes it available to the app. iOS controls when apps receive health data in the background, so the morning summary sometimes completes on your first open rather than before it.
Chronotype includes a 7-day free trial, then continues as an auto-renewing annual subscription. The subscription renews once a year through your Apple ID unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. You can cancel anytime — see below.
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not a Chronotype account. On your iPhone, go to Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Chronotype, where you can cancel or change your plan. You can also open Manage Subscription from the app’s paywall. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current period.
Install Chronotype, and when the paywall appears, tap Restore Purchase. Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so it carries to any of your devices at no extra cost.
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds go through them: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and choose your Chronotype subscription. Apple typically responds within a few days.
Your health data stays on your device and in your personal Apple Health store. Coaching messages are generated by sending only the minimum necessary, de-identified health context to our AI provider. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Both are built in: Profile → Privacy → Export My Data produces a file with everything Chronotype has recorded; Delete All My Data permanently removes it from the app. Data in Apple Health is managed by the Health app and is never deleted by Chronotype.
No. Chronotype offers general wellness guidance based on your data. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical concerns.
To keep the app fast and affordable for everyone, the on-demand AI features (chat, voice, and meal/workout analysis) have generous daily and monthly fair-use limits. Your automated daily coaching is never limited. If you reach a limit, that feature becomes available again after the daily or monthly reset, and everything else keeps working.
Chronotype requires an iPhone with iOS 16 or later and works best with an Apple Watch for sleep and heart data. Some features are limited without a Watch.
